Juan Asconapé: Striving for Excellence in All that He Does

Juan Asconapé is no stranger to balancing a busy schedule yet still achieving success. You often hear that many attorneys work all the time and have little time for family or other activities. That’s not the case with Juan. With a full caseload at Schwed, Adams, Sobel & McGinley, a family, including a wife, three daughters and one son, and being the President for the Jupiter Tequesta Athletic Association (JTAA) Volleyball Board of Directors where two of his daughters play volleyball, Juan strives for excellence in everything he does.

After graduating from college at Indiana University, Juan spent some time in college administration at his alma mater. Upon getting his Law Degree in 2006, from Santa Clara University School of Law, his first job was as a Director for the Northwestern University Executive MBA program, one of the top programs in the country.

Having joined Schwed, Adams, Sobel & McGinley in 2009, Asconapé recalls that the firm had a large portion of Spanish speaking clientele at the time. Currently more than half of his clientele are Spanish speaking but the total has been as high as 80-90%. Asconapé’s most proud moment in practicing law was when he took a case to trial and got a verdict for 18 times the insurance policy limits. His drive for excellence continues to penetrate everything he does.

With a wife and four children ranging in age from two to eleven, life doesn’t stop when he walks out of the office. One of his daughters play Travel Volleyball and the younger one plays Recreational Volleyball for the Jupiter Tequesta Athletic Association’s (JTAA) teams. Some simply watch their kids participate, but Juan insists on being involved and is currently the President of JTAA Volleyball, a coach and attends his daughters’ games.

In his spare time, Asconapé also loves to play tennis, volleyball, guitar and piano. Setting an example for his children and future generations to come, Juan Asconapé believes that excelling in everything you do is essential. From working a full caseload at Schwed, Adams, Sobel & McGinley to having a full-time job at home as a father to overseeing the JTAA Volleyball Program as President, Juan is committed to success and achieving greatness.
