Shawn Gregory McCloskey

Shawn Gregory McCloskey joined Schwed Law in August 2019 after working as a trial attorney at a plaintiff’s personal injury firm in Coral Springs for first five years of his career. He has practiced law full-time as a plaintiff’s personal injury attorney since graduating from law school, even spending his last two years of law school working as a law clerk in the Coral Springs firm where he began his career.

Over the course of his career Shawn has litigated a variety of cases including personal injury, property damage of exotic automobiles, and premises liability. Since joining Schwed Law in 2019 Shawn has helped his clients receive over $7 million for the injuries they suffered due to someone else’s negligence.

Shawn received a bachelor’s degree in Criminology from the University of Florida, before moving on to Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law where he obtained his Juris Doctorate in 2014. He is also proud to have been a member of the Florida Bar Association’s Client Security Fund for three years, where he helped investigate claims of persons who have been defrauded due to the errors of a deceased or disbarred Florida attorney in an effort to get them compensated for their losses.

In his free time, Shawn is an avid runner and fitness enthusiast, who has checked three states (Minnesota, Indiana and Florida) off his goal of running a half marathon in every state. His other hobbies include Florida Gators sports, cooking and going to the dog park with his wife and their two rescue dogs.
