Allen Gressett Named as a 2020 Mid-South Rising Star

Schwed, Adams & McGinley, PA is pleased to announce that Super Lawyers® has selected Allen Gressett to its ranks of 2020 Rising Stars in the Mid-South. Super Lawyers ranks outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas in each state who are recognized highly by their peers for their professional achievement.  To be considered for selection as a Rising Star, nominees must undergo a multiphase selection process which includes independent research, peer nominations, and peer evaluations. A limited number of individuals, no more than 2.5% of lawyers in Tennessee, are recognized on the Rising Stars list. To be eligible for this honor, candidates must either be 40 years old or younger or have been in practice for 10 years or less.

Stephen W. Schwed, Founding and Managing Partner, said, “Our team is enormously proud that Allen has been recognized as the star we have known him to be.”

Allen received his undergraduate degree at Mississippi State University before moving to Jackson, Mississippi.  He received his law degree in 2010, from Mississippi College School of Law where he was a member of the school’s nationally ranked Moot Court Board and inducted into the prestigious Order of Barristers. Before joining Schwed Law Firm in 2017, Allen represented thousands of clients hurt by corporate negligence and man-made environmental disasters, recovering tens of millions of dollars in damages for his clients. Allen relies on his experience in automobile personal injury, premises liability, and medical malpractice in passionately serving our client’s legal needs.

Allen is a member of the Mississippi and Tennessee Bar Associations, the American Association for Justice, and the Tennessee Trial Lawyers Association. He is also a member of the Mississippi Association for Justice where he was elected by his peers to serve on the Board of Governors. He is licensed to practice in all state and federal courts in Mississippi, Tennessee, and Arkansas.

Allen, his wife Jenn, and son Jackson live in Olive Branch, Mississippi. Allen enjoys playing the drums in the praise band at his church, cooking, traveling, and spending time with his family and Great Dane Molly.
