Martin County Teen Killed in Tragic Accident

A Martin County teen killed in a car accident on I-95 has shocked the community. The young woman, a track star and recent high school graduate, was on her way home from visiting an injured friend in the hospital when tragedy struck. According to People, the teen had just left Cleveland Clinic Tradition Medical Center. She was was riding with a 17-year-old friend when a 23-year-old driver rear-ended their car. The collision caused both vehicles to veer off the highway and crash into separate trees. Paramedics rushed the passengers to local hospitals. Nearly two hours after the crash occurred, the hospital pronounced the teen as deceased. Authorities have not yet released further details about the crash.

A Promising Life Cut Short

Kenna Wilson, the Martin County teen killed in the accident, had recently graduated from Martin County High School. She was a valuable member of the track team. In the last meet of the season, her 400-meter relay team broke the school record. According to a TCPalm interview with her step-mother, she planned to attend the fire academy at Indian River State College in the fall. Kenna’s short life ended tragically due to a careless driver speeding on I-95.
